As a response to the Covid-19 emergency we launched the higherrhythm.education website, a platform we developed specifically for our Music and Media Online Courses, allowing learners at distance to participate in the project. This new resource has proved to be incredibly popular with young people and schools, and we have been able to maximise Youth Music investment in this teaching and learning virtual environment by engaging young people with additional needs who are involved in our Youth Music Fund A project 'Music Inclusion'. This project launched in June 2020, and face to face delivery was compromised in the later part of the 2020 and early 2021 by the Covid-19 Tier system and National lockdown. Thanks to higherrhythm.education, we can now offer a blended approach to all our activities and respond quickly to restrictions by moving activities online and supporting young people remotely when necessary, meaning all our activities are now insulated from unpredictable events such as the Cover-19 emergency. Since its launch in September, and across both of our Fund A and Fund B projects, 89 young people have accessed higherrhythm.education and enrolled onto the Trinity College of London Arts Award Bronze Song Writing Online Course.
