Rappers and Music Production Workshop Leaders
Job description
The Irene Taylor Trust has been working at the forefront of arts and rehabilitation since 1995, bringing creative music projects to men and women of all ages in prisons throughout the UK. Over the past 5 years it has extended its work to include ‘through-the-gate’ support to ex-prisoners, and projects with young people in challenging circumstances.
We are looking for Rappers and people with Music Production experience to facilitate workshops on our young people's programme, Making Tracks. You'd be working young people at elevated risk, including those on the fringes of the criminal justice system and those who are NEET. We work in youth centres and Youth Offending teams across London offering different music themed workshops.
You must have experience of facilitating groups, working with young people and teaching either music production or rapping. You would be joining a pool of freelance musicians who are booked for projects through out the year, of which we pay £30 per hour.
