Well, due to a very busy summer I've been quite quiet on here, but now that I'm back into the swing of life again I have lots to share!

Music as always, has continued to feature quite highly in my life over the summer and so I thought I would simply share my experiences, and my thoughts with you....

My younger brother got married in August, and my wife and I asked were asked to sing at the wedding service. This was a wonderful experience, but also quite nerve-racking as it was such a special moment in their lives. But the music didn't stop during the service, the evening was filled with fun as Rockaoke took to the stage - this is Karaoke with a difference! Without the music, the wedding would have been a very quiet occasion, and the sense of joy and celebration would have been very different.

And then, a festival in the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside! We performed under a canopy of trees on something known as the Woodland Stage. The weather was beautiful, and the atmosphere was very relaxed as people sat around on hay bales enjoying the sounds we were bringing.

I then travelled down to the Cotswolds and performed with a three piece on a church stage surrounded by fairy lights and candles, and a wonderfully receptive audience of all age ranges.

And now back into the swing of music education - I've been able to visit young children in hospital, schools, and children's homes and rediscover the power and influence music has on people lives.

Whether it is wedding guests, festival goers, church congregations, children, young people and so on  - everyone appreciates music and song. Music brings people together, creates atmosphere, and for this reason I will continue to make music, teach music, and hopefully inspire others to do the same....

Music is a physical, emotional, and spiritual force all at the same time. Breaking down age, cultural, geographical, class, race, and religious barriers! Wow!

“Music is the great uniter. An incredible force. Something that people who differ on everything and anything else can have in common.” (Sarah Dessen)
