NYCGB launches Big Give 2015 fundraising campaign in aid of Bursary Scheme

Fundraising target of £30k to enable 60 young singers to participate in 2016 programme.

The National Youth Choirs of Great Britain's NYCGB Bursary Scheme gives out thousands of pounds annually to help aspiring young singers meet the costs of NYCGB auditions, residential courses, and associated travel. In 2015 alone, 241 bursaries were awarded to 149 recipients.

This December, NYCGB is aiming to raise £30,000 for the Bursary Scheme through the Big Give Christmas Challenge. Donations are being accepted via www.nycgb.org.uk/big-give from midday on Saturday 5 December until midnight on Monday 14 December. All donations received during this time will be matched pound for pound up to a maximum of £15,000 by The Vardy Foundation, effectively halving the target.

If successful, the campaign will directly enable 60 young singers to participate in NYCGB's 2016 programme, which includes auditions, residential course, tuition, recording sessions, tours, and more.
