After several weeks of consistent progression from the YP we decided that it would be a great idea to get a professional vocalist in to give them some pointers on vocal techniques, harmonies and on the indusrty itself. So today we were joined by Aearon Whyte who has featured on 1xtra and performed backing vocals for Emeli Sande amongst others.

After several weeks of consistent progression from the YP we decided that it would be a great idea to get a professional vocalist in to give them some pointers on vocal techniques, harmonies and on the indusrty itself. So today we were joined by Aearon Whyte who has featured on 1xtra and performed backing vocals for Emeli Sande amongst others. 

The session was very productive and the YP seemed to get a lot out of it and even manged to record some of their own harmonies, which, was impressive considering it was their first introduction to the idea.

The discussions that took place were also extremely useful in terms of helping the YP with their confidence and the potential pitfalls and opportunities of the inductry as a whole. 

The response of the YP was great and they expressed a desire to have more opportunities to work with professional musicians and specifically to record some youtube videos so that they can promote their work.
