Music hubs - a survey on the community music perspective

What do music hubs look like from the perspective of community music organisations and freelancers? How are the cultural differences between the formal/non-formal music sectors being addressed to encourage collaboration and partnership work? And to what extent have the goals of the National Plan for Music Education been reached - to get music organisations working together to plug the gaps and make sure musical opportunities are open to all?

If you have 2 minutes spare, I'd be grateful if you can do a quick survey to help share your perspective:

All responses are anonymous, but I'll make the results public, and post them here. Having already got responses from organisations and freelancers on another forum, it has shown some very positive examples, and some not. I believe strongly that transparency (about what works well, what doesn't, and why) is the first step to encouraging debate, and helping hubs share good practice.

The challenges facing hubs are huge when trying to meet the aims of the NPME. The aims are good, but hard to meet in an era of funding cuts. However its the culture shock I've found most interesting - how hubs have been asked to bring formal and non-formal music organisations together that can have very different philosophies, values, aims, and methods.

If you can share the survey link with any community musicians/organisations, it will really help get a clearer picture of what's happening. And I'm sure you'll find the results interesting!
