Morgan's Story

Morgan shared her story about the GMYN Boom Box programme. 

I started coming to Boom Box through school as they found a music project for me to do as I LOVE music. All of the staff were so welcoming and gave great advice on how to make my songs sound better. They even taught me how to start playing the guitar and now I play in my free time and write more songs. I started coming to Book Box during exam season when stress levels were increasingly high and coming to GMYN was something that decreased these levels and made me look forward to each Friday. It allowed me to express myself and find they style of music I am into as well as explore different types of music. One of the positives for me, was being given tickets to the Taylor Swift Concert. I had never been to a concert before and for my first one, it was AMAZING! I was right near the front and also got to see Charlie XCX and Camila Cabello. Coming to Boom Box has increased my confidence and shown me more to music than what I thought there was. I would definitely encourage everyone to come along and give it a go!
