'Our Street Our Song' Early Years Project - Sheffield - Celebration Party

Grace Owen Nursery was the first of our 18 Settings to host their end of Year 1  Music Celebration event, last Saturday.   Children and their families joined together for Big Singalongs with Martin Harwood and Polly Ives, made their own musical instruments, wrote their own songs, looked at pictures and displays of the year’s work on the project, danced and enjoyed lunch together.

These are just some of the comments:

“It was amazing!  Playful, creative, diverse.  Thank you so much”. (parent)

“Amazing - great for the kids to see the instruments up close and music that was a pleasure to join in with.” (parent)

“I liked singing and looking at the cello - and my dinner” (Sam, age 2 ¾)

“Can we do this monthly?  Great to see lots of parents joining in.”  (parent)
