Canadian Rock Band Touring UK offering Music Workshops

Double Experience - A Neo-Nerd rock band from Canada, touring the UK with their brand new Album in May. Available for music workshops throughout May. Workshops include careers in the music industry, song writing, Q&A and an acoustic live performance.

The EducaTOUR is a SHSM-certified education program created by Colfax Music in 2010. In the face of music program cuts across North American and European schools, the EducaTOUR program is Colfax Music's way of fighting back with an unforgettable experience for your students.

We are proud to have earned positive feedback and references from over 150 Canadian High Schools and more than 20,000 students from Nova Scotia to British Columbia, with recent presentations branching out into the United Kingdom.

We are currently offering two courses for 2015:

1. Songwriting; designed to fit into a regular class schedule, band members deliver modern insight to their craft and explore the opportunities for young adults interested in many creative jobs available in the music industry. This presentation also features musical demonstrations of these concepts from the band members.

2. Careers: focusing on the modern music industry and a student's potential role as one of many roles inside of it. The concept of turning a nontraditional career into a multitude of realistic income streams for young adults is explored in detail and can be applied to all creative fields.

One of the biggest advantages the EducaTOUR provides is that those leading the workshop are young musicians who have carved out their own careers by following the steps outlined in the workshop. As the rock band "Double Experience", current EducaTOUR presenters Brock Tinsley and Ian Nichols have performed concerts across Canada, USA and the United Kingdom, have written all their own music, professionally recorded 3 albums as well as signing a major record distribution contract through Universal Music Canada... all before their 20's.

In the face of music program cuts across North American and European schools, the EducaTOUR program is our way of fighting back with an unconventional and innovative workshop for progressive teachers and their students.

Our interactive workshops have been delivered to audiences from 10 to 900. The workshop which can be given to a single class or multiple classes over a 45+ minute session. Your EducaTOUR experience does not have to be limited to "music students", being applicable to arts and culture, career oriented students. In fact, our workshop meets SHSM qualifications.
