Start of rehearsals at Marden! 

We have our date for the gig! Saturday 4th June! 8 weeks to go!

Right at the first session we told all the young people involved that they would be expected to take part in some sort of performance and now we have it! Everyone seems nervous but excited! We have been working extensively on getting some material together for a song and writing our own material. Everyone wanted to sing a song they'd heard but we stressed how important it was to write our own music and reluctantly the group agreed.

The band is made up of 5 people: 3 singers a rapper and a drummer. 

Lee establishes we dont have many instrument players but enough people confident in singing. so it agreed that our drummer will play to a pre-recorded track. Isabella - our drummer is a very good musician and takes to the drums like a duck to water even though she's started drum lessons it was my job to help her in these whilst Lee worked on lyrics. 

After last week when we recorded, we discussed the theme of the project and realised what we were writing about didn't have much to do with what we were meant to write about so Lee re-wrote some things and we now have a track all about our place in society! We will re-record these next week and this will be
