Crossing Cultures session 5

This week we had a wonderful surprise when Lee came back with an incredibly impressive song for everybody to listen to. He went through it with the young people and he discussed all the influencences in the track. Surely enough there were influences from all over the world. I really think this got the young people motivated because they realised that what they were doing was very good.

From last week the young people had arrived with lots of new ideas for lyrics. Luckily we have lots of confident singers. 

I went round going through possible lyrics and we got a chorus! It was catchy and a great hook to glue the song together. 

After that I went over things with the drummer who through our sessions had taken up drum lessons! She had improved vastly and started to really get to grips with playing to song and a metronome.

Hopefully next week we will have processed vocals! More excellent work.
