MUSIC TECHNOLOGY WORKSHOP FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

MUSIC TECHNOLOGY WORKSHOP FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AGE: 13 TO 25

This project aims to increase the musical ability of all young people by offering high-quality music-making opportunities regardless of your background or abilities. In addition to teaching new skills in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere, we aim to provide you with music technical skills to improve on your production, recording, arranging and mixing. You will also learn how to use Logic Pro X, Ableton Live and Pro Tools including the newest plugins i.e. Effects, EQs and Compressors to enhance your sound. You will record music within a professional studio environment, which will give you a chance to use after effects, utilise various outboard equipment racks and develop mixing to mastering processes.

These workshops will enable you to meet with other musicians, programmers, singers, songwriters and producers to help you create, record and mix your music in a 1-2-1 or group environment. The use of a rehearsal room will be available to practice if you are a musician or for someone who is in a band. You will get the opportunity to speak to professional people who have been in the industry to give you advice on how to package your product. In support of your music, you will have access to computer workstations to do either production or Job search and receive help with updating your CV and talk to a Career Adviser about Job opportunities.
