Nature Beats - Glimpses from this week Course 8

This week has been a test in terms of facing the cold. However, it has been a success - a roaring one. With the right equipment, clothing and support, being outdoors in winter is as much fun as any other time in the year. They especially loved the sound recording in the woods this week and working on it indoors.

 

 

Glimpses from this week... Outdoor Day: "We made a shelter using natural materials and made more music with natural sounds and objects. I enjoyed both of them." - R "I went into the shelter to test it. It was really nice and cosy. It was fun. People got on well with each other." - K

Indoor Day: "It has been a good day. More people need to do it. The jobs activity was intense but good to learn about the key facts needed to apply for jobs. What skills we need to work for different jobs." - K "Music making was eventful. I like the fact that music comes not just from instruments but from people as well - like a laugh or whistle. I enjoy not just listening to it but making it as well." - A "I get to express myself writing lyrics." - A

"Had a nice time, it was good. Meeting new people and working with them is building my confidence every week." - P

"I have enjoyed writing lyrics today." - A
