New Punks on the Block - A Unique 1-Day Event - May 18 - City University

City University have teamed up with Tileyard Education to bring together the best of the UK’s independent music industry to answer the question: IS THE PUNK ETHIC ALIVE AND KICKING? Speakers and participating companies include: Tileyard Music, Notting Hill Music, Hart Media, Musicgurus, Duff Press, Pledgemusic, Soundvault, Dizzyjam, Rotor Video, Radio+Video, Supapass, The Ticket Fairy, PRS, PPL, JAMES, MMF, BASCA, AIM and more.

Forty years ago, in London and New York, the punk movement exploded out of the disenfranchised creative minds of independent musicians, fashion designers, film-makers and entrepreneurs and gave birth to an ethos that has resonated though modern culture and society ever since.

Who are the new punks of 2016 and is the punk ethos alive and well in the DIY creative sector where music, fashion, film making and live performance are harnessing the democracy of new media with more punk vigour than ever before?

This unique 1-day event is limited to just 100 places and features special guest speakers, panel discussions, DIY exhibitor rooms, industry networking and VIP access to the after party at The Slaughtered Lamb featuring live performances from Jerry Williams, Michael Baker, Carl Olander and Lorraine Jordan
