The UVG guests with The One and Only – Chesney Hawkes

The UVG were delighted to have the opportunity to perform at the Portsmouth Guildhall on Wednesday 27th July with the fantastic Chesney Hawkes. 

46 singers from the group, made up of 11 – 18 year olds, did their own 20-minute set to a packed audience before joining Chesney later on stage for the finale; a rendition of his 1991 No 1 single ‘The One and Only’. The evening also featured performances by Mark Reid (formerly of boy band A1) and local duo Percival Elliot (complete with string Quartet!). This was a fantastic evening for the young people who were not fazed by the occasion and enjoyed being part of a once in a lifetime experience.
