Roundhouse Accelerator 2023: Can you help?

Question detail

I’m writing today from the Roundhouse as we have an exciting opportunity for you to get involved in our Accelerator Programme that would really benefit from the input of our fellow Youth Music grant-holders. The programme kicks off on 11th January 2023 and is a 12-week development opportunity for creative entrepreneurs aged 18-30.

We have a cohort of really exciting, diverse entrepreneurs who are at a tipping point with their creative businesses. All participants have established a brand that distinguishes their goods or services from those of others, have had some traction through sales or customer engagement, but need business support to ensure their businesses can sustain.

Our programme is designed to help them to develop their brand, alongside relevant and transferable business skills through weekly workshops, mentoring and pitch practice, working towards a pitch event at the end of the programme.

We are looking for people to share their expertise with our young entrepreneurs at our 1:1 Pitch Practice Surgery. We're really looking for diverse representation in our mentors to reflect the diversity of our young entrepreneurs. This is a key moment in the programme as it is the first opportunity for participants to pitch to new contacts. Participants will pitch their business idea to you and afterwards you will have the opportunity to ask clarifying questions and feedback on presentation skills as well as the business strategy.

This pitching session is 1 hour, taking place virtually on the 8th of February between 4pm and 5pm - all meeting details will be shared beforehand. I’d be really grateful if you could let me know whether you’re available and interested in taking part. We’ll deliver a detailed briefing on what you can expect ahead of the event.
