Amber Foundation

About

Amber supports young people grappling with homelessness and unemployment at three residential centres in Devon, Wiltshire and Surrey which each house up to 30 young people in crisis at any one time.

Our centres are safe and nurturing environments where we provide much more than a bed and board. Every resident receives a bespoke holistic package combining support, structure, new opportunities and relevant training which empowers them to transform their own lives and their futures for good.

The average stay is 6 months and in that time our staff encourage our residents to focus on their futures not their pasts, we challenge their limited aspirations and negative views of themselves and support them to take responsibility for themselves and their actions. The Amber programme is full time, abstinence based and consists of four prongs

•             Employment readiness – including improving literacy and numeracy

•             Health and Well-being

•             Independent Living

•             Personal Development
