What a night for Rhythmix!

Last night was an amazing night for the Rhythmix team - we were a finalists in two awards!!! It was wonderful to receive this recognition of all of the hard work that the charity does and the amazing partnerships that we’ve developed over the years. Next year we’re turning 20 and this is a great lead in to the celebrations of our work that we’ll be having next year.

Rhythmix are so happy to have been a finalist in the HSJ award for our partnership work with Brighton and Sussex Universities Hospitals Trust in the Compassionate Care Category and the Children and Young People Now Awards Arts and Culture category.

Being a finalist in these two prestigious awards, and having our work recognised on a national level is a huge honor. We would like to congratulate all of last nights finalists and winners.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of the musicians, partners, families, supporters, and participants who make this work possible. Winning awards is a reflection on all of the amazing musical interactions created every day by the people who we work with.

Thank you.

Reflecting on the awards, Rhythmix Chair Alastair Beddow said,

"Being nominated for two prestigious national awards in one evening is major achievement for Rhythmix, and is a strong testament to the major the impact the charity has in improving wellbeing for some of the most vulnerable and isolated people across the South East." Despite not taking home any trophies last night, the very fact of being nominated is thanks to the continued efforts of our team, partners and supporter; our vital work is only possible thanks to their support. I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate WORLDwrite and the Birth Reflection Service at Northumbria NHS for being recognised as winner by CYP Now and HSJ respectively."
