Annual Celebration Showcase - Feeling the Beat

Showcasing skills learned over the summer school holidays, those young people not back to school or college - hearing and deaf - played at NTDF's 32nd Annual Celebration Event on Friday 6th September. Jumlies are new to us and are being used to complement our Sing Our Own Special Song Youth Voice Project. The pans are popular with all ages and across the Autumn term we are hosting sessions for children and young people enabling those who now have some skill, to apply their learnign and teach others. Earlier this year, the larger group performed by invitatiion of North Tyneside Steel Bands,at a local festival. For some of group - this is wonderful new expereince - and for others, it was a chance to really show what they can do.
