Back In Full Swing With Our Cre8 Music Drop-In Sessions

Our music drop-in sessions here at Cre8 Macclesfield, funded by Youth Music, are back in full swing for 2020.

We encourage school children, year 4 and up from the Moss Rose Estate in Macclesfield, to head down to our community building after school, where they are able to try out some of the instruments we have on offer. These include piano, drums, guitar, bass, and ukulele. If any of the young people take a shine to any of them, we offer free lessons in their chosen instrument(s), as well as time to come and practice or to simply relax and discuss music with likeminded peers. There’s also a chance to discover and develop new skills in areas such as music theory, and production & recording.

Our young music leaders are a big help in our sessions. They can often be found passing on their skills to our young people, helping them practice on the instruments, or learning to play new songs together as can be seen in the attached image. With their help, we're able to provide our young musicians with a comfortable and relaxed environment within which they can develop a passion for music.
