Big Brass Day Online
Event description
Our next Big Brass Day series is happening online! Brass players under 18 years of age, can work alongside professional players, learn new skills, refine your technique, and meet fellow brass players. Join one or both of FREE online Brass events. Workshops on offer will be focusing on composition, performance, improvisation and jazz.
On 16 August, 10am – 12.30pm Work alongside composer Liz Lane and brass ensemble Femmes Fortissimo to rehearse a new composition developed in consultation with our Brass Day participants.
On 22 August, 10am – 12.30pm Explore the world of New Orleans influenced jazz with New York Brass and Femmes Fortissimo as you discover new techniques for improvisation and jazz performance.
Big Brass Day is completely FREE and will mark the fourth event in a series of brass events over the course of 2019/20.
All brass players Grade 4 standard and over are welcome.
