DaDaFest Scratch at Liverpool Philharmonic

DaDaFest is delighted to be bringing launching DaDaFest Scratch, one of a series of events over the next three years showcasing the best of disability art in the North West.

DaDaFest Scratch will take place at Liverpool Philharmonic on 11 July at 6pm. The event will showcase creative and expressive music performances by developing artists who are disabled or D/deaf. Professional composers, Ben Lunn and Carmel Smickersgill, are working with the DaDaFest Ensemble to create a brand new piece of music for the show.   Local musicians Six for Tennis and Luke and guests will be joining the line-up to perform new songs. We are excited that Electric Fire, a unique digital neon-future-funk, hip-hop and house band will make up the second act.

Tickets are £5 and can be bought via the Liverpool Philharmonic website

Connect: Breaking down barriers to live music

We are thrilled to be working in partnership with youth development organisation NYMAZ and Liverpool Philharmonic to live stream DaDaFest Scratch.

Connect is about supporting people who face barriers to attending live shows. It’s also following a process of work which considers audience access from the start of the artistic process.

The performance will be live streamed at 2pm on 11 July from Liverpool Philharmonic. It will be broadcast live online by NYMAZ as part of their Connect: Resound programme. We are encouraging schools from across the UK to tune in and it will also be shown at Alder Hey Children's Hospital.

Tune in by visiting http://connectresound.live
