COL participant EM wins major festival slot in Nottingham!

Big news for COL participant Emily Baldwin, artist name EM, who just won the annual Future Sound Of Nottingham competition, her prize a slot on the Saturday main stage at this years Splendour Festival - one of the East Midlands biggest summer events. Fellow Notts artist K.Ji joins EM as victor in the competition, both having secured their success in a combination of audience noise response (measured with a db meter) and judging panel votes.

The judging panel included music industry professionals from the BBC, local and national media and music promotion. Huge audience cheers for an amazing performance on the legendary Rock City stage in the heart of the city swung it for EM, who until recently had given up on live performance and credits her two years on the Youth Music funded Circle Of Light project with reigniting her desire to perform live and helping her rediscover the confidence to do so.

As a result, she's been busy building her live profile, and this weekend it really paid off, all at COL are so proud of her and her success! Next stop for EM is Splendour Festival on 22nd July in the stunning surrounds of Wollaton Hall Park, kicking off the festivities with her unique blend of emotional songcraft, blistering electronic production and multi instrumental talent!
