Drum Works Trainee Programme 2020 - applications open

We are offering FREE training placements for up to 5 musicians during the spring and summer terms of 2020. Trainees will gain hands-on experience delivering Drum Works sessions in schools, receive mentoring support from experienced music leaders and have access to five half-day training sessions covering a range of topics related to music leadership.

Trainees will:

• Work alongside experienced music leaders delivering weekly Drum Works sessions in a school.
• Attend five half-day training sessions facilitated by senior Drum Works leaders. Session content will be planned with the needs of the trainees in mind, and may include facilitating creative processes, technical leadership skills and working in different social contexts.
• Be observed in school sessions and receive mentoring throughout the placement from one of Drum Works’ Artistic Directors.

The training is designed for professional-level musicians who want to gain experience in delivering creative, socially-engaged projects.
