Junior Jam: At The Movies

Event description

Junior Jam gives children the chance to develop musical skills in a fun, friendly and accessible way. Sessions last 50 minutes and take place once a month at Band on the Wall, with musical games and activities, including time to experiment, play with instruments and socialise.

Junior Jam is led by Kabantu (previously Project Jam Sandwich), a world-folk-fusion quintet of award-winning musicians known for concocting captivating, exhilarating improvisations, infectious rhythms and beautiful melodies from around the globe.

What makes certain films so iconic? The music! Whether it’s the theme to a scary character or the use of particular instruments to make a scene feel bitterly cold, music plays a big role in cinema. Musician’s Abel and Katie will guide you through lots of different instrumental sounds and techniques, and you’ll have the chance to create your own soundtrack to a movie scene.
