Junior Jam: Salsa Band

Event description

Junior Jam gives children the chance to develop and build music skills in a fun, friendly and accessible way. Sessions last two hours and take place on the first Saturday morning of each month, with musical games and activities, including time to experiment, play with instruments and socialise.

This September we explore the lively dance music of the salsa band. Think of those cha cha chas and rumbas on Strictly Come Dancing and get ready to create some sizzling salsa. Learn about the percussion instruments, vocal lines and all the other ingredients needed to create your very own salsa band and get dancing!

Junior Jam is led by Project Jam Sandwich, a world-folk-fusion quintet of award-winning musicians known for concocting captivating, exhilarating improvisations, infectious rhythms and beautiful melodies from around the globe.

All instruments are provided (ukuleles available for use in sessions only – we can offer advice on where to go and what to buy).
