Music Learning Revolution

Event description

Music Learning Revolution is a new one-day festival of practice for teachers and leaders to share, develop and inspire innovative ways of engaging all young people in music learning.

Designed for secondary music teachers, primary teachers (specialist and non-specialist), school and sector leaders, Music Learning Revolution will take delegates on an experiential journey of sound, vision and practical classroom ideas.

Themed around inclusion, identity, collaboration and crossing boundaries, the festival brings together leading thinkers in education and music – including Lord Puttnam (via video link-up), Robin Hammerton (Ofsted), Valerie Hannon (Innovation Unit) and Katherine Zeserson (The Sage, Gateshead).

Experience engaging, practical workshops such as introducing Musical Futures Primary, innovation in early years learning, making classrooms fully inclusive, folk jam sessions, vocal tips and techniques, whole-class workshopping at GCSE, multi-arts and creativity, digital learning in the music classroom, international teacher collaborations and more.

Plus a unique opportunity for young vocalists to participate in a morning of workshops with beatboxer Shlomo with Greg Beardsall and Harriet Syndercombe Court, leading to a massed beatbox choir for all delegates.
