Event description
The day includes:
- Participatory sessions about leading large groups of young people on Gamelan, Taiko, Steel Pans and using a world music approach with ‘conventional’ instruments.
- Ideas for warm ups and behaviour management tips from experienced workshop leaders
- Information about further training and teaching opportunities with Hertfordshire Music Service
- Advice on writing CVs and how to succeed in interviews
- Information on how music is being used in schools to support pupil well-being and attainment
- Advice on how to find funding
Cost: Free of charge, but limited places. Includes lunch.
