Wonder Women: Here Come the Grrrls Showcase

Over the course of an evening, we’re delighted to welcome back Wall of Sounds Beth Orton residency musicians, including Natalie McCool, Becca Williams, Elizabeth Vince, Avital Raz, Ione Mai, Gina Tratt, Fiona Soe Paing, Jote Osahn, Kayla Painter, Janileigh Cohen, Sonia Allori, Vanessa James and Cally Youdell.

Through our commissions, residencies and Here Come the Grrrls programme we’re celebrating, profiling and inspiring female musicians.  Our recent focus on women in music has proved highly successful in shining a spotlight on female talent and the challenges facing women in the industry.  Since its launch eight months ago, Here Come the Grrrls has engaged with nearly 500 young, emerging and professional musicians.  We’re excited to present a one-off showcase as part of Manchester’s Wonder Women festival and International Women’s Day.
