First Steps To Live Provision

We’re back !

After 6 months of no face to face playing we’ve run our first junior band socially distanced rehearsal in Middlesbrough. Over the lockdown, and movement restrictions period, we have had to adapt our provision. This time has seen us explore and use online materials,  including steel pan apps to keep our young players engaged. Interestingly, although online feedback about the use of these has been limited, when chatting at the face to face session it turns out that the youngster were using them. Our summer workshop series (two more to follow) is being supported by MUSINC (Fund C holder)and MyPlace, Middlesbrough. As September approaches we are now working with schools to see what shape live sessions might take. We have our holiday events as a pilot to show how the distancing and learning bubbles mght work in after school clubs. Much is still unknown however, but we will continue to adapt to meet the needs of childen, young pepole and organisations who want to be invloved with pan.
