Funded (Free) training: How to use DJ skills with your groups.

As part of our fund B Youth Music training we can offer 5 organisations completely free training, coaching or mentoring which explains how to incorporate DJ skills with your young musicians.

  • The training can be from our studio in Leeds or can be delivered online.
  • The training can be on equipment you own.
  • The training can help you choose equipment to purchase.
  • The training can be based entirely around free DJ software which requires no additional equipment (just a PC/MAC).

  • The training is available for music leaders or staff who have no DJ experience but want to try this engaging artform with their groups.
  • The training is available for existing DJs who want to develop as music leaders or who want tips on engaging children and young people who face challenging life circumstances.
  • In addition to the training we can offer Zoom online classes with your young people where you can watch our delivery, or we can watch you, and bring our learning back to our training with you.

We at DJ School UK exist to help those children and young people facing challenging circumstances who love music but won't engage with traditional instruments. As such we will be as flexible as we can to help you learn how you can use DJing with your groups.

For more info on the available content of our training please see:  https://djschooluk.org.uk/schools-and-community/cpd-and-training

PLEASE NOTE :

For 5 Youth Music funded organisations this training will be delivered free of charge.

We will cater to your needs.

We can focus on the use of free DJ software for organisations who do not want to purchase their own equipment.

"The training was perfect; clear, engaging and well-suited to our needs. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and developed the skills and understanding we needed to be able to introduce DJing into our music departments" -Music for Bedford Borough, 2020.
