The Garage - Recording Studio
Members of the King James Rock and Pop Institute in Bishop Auckland have been working very hard rehearsing songs in preparation for a visit to a professional recording studio in South Shields. Our three rock bands attended The Garage Studios for the day, each band performed, recorded and created a music video. The musicians had a chance to operate recording equipment, set up microphones, cameras, amplifiers and a range of other equipment. They also had the chance to talk with experienced music and video producers and ask questions about this area of work. All the members of the Rock and Pop Academy really enjoyed the day and experienced what it is like to work in a professional studio and how to make a good quality music video for their bands. The King James Rock and Pop Institute have some performances coming up, one at at King James 1st Academy and a second at the Battle of the Bands held at the Gala Theatre in Durham in June. We hope to visit the Garage Studios again in the future and record more songs and videos.
