Get Real Youth Music Summer 2021

In the summer of 2020, Free2Talk launched its music summer programme. We had the aim of delivering music workshops & qualifications to Young People across Northamptonshire. In the end, these young people ended up completing their bronze level arts award. From this, 6 of the students formed our initial hub of music leaders. Based on talks with the group, they decided that we should run the programme again, but in more locations around the town to make them more accessible for people around the town. 

For our 2021 summer programme, we have ran 3 seperate courses in different locations around Northamptonshire. 

With the help of our initial young leaders, The Get Real Summer Programme has enaged with 25 young people from around the town and a proportion of those have completed their accredited music training. 

There are now plans for these young people to go on and lead more music workshops around the town, as well as sharing their voice within the local community.
