Music4U is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a second national conference entitled 'Music for Life - The Impact of Music on the Wellbeing of Deaf Young People' on Friday, 27 February 2015, at the National Centre for Early Music in York. The conference is aimed at professionals and practitioners working in the music, education and health sectors.

Through a series of engaging talks and a moderated panel, we will be looking at the wellbeing issues deaf young people face and how music might help them to tackle these and promote their life chances. The event will also include showcase performances by young people who have been supported to perform through a series of the workshops leading up to the day.

This conference builds on the success of our 'Music to Young Ears' Conference held in 2013, which brought together the themes of early years music and provision for deaf children.

We will be announcing the programme for this day-long event shortly. In the meantime, please save the date and bookmark our conference website. We would also be grateful if you would share this announcement with colleagues who you think may be interested.

We hope to see in February for another informative and inspirational conference.
