Inclusive showcase
You may have heard of Hip Hop Shake Up, but that isn't the only inclusive music Tang Hall SMART has to offer.
If you don't remember Hip Hop Shake Up, here it is:
The inclusive music doesn't stop here. We have multiple clubs and courses for people with learning disabilities, and we have videos of the talent shown at these. There are two videos we feel may interest you, which are of participants who were involved in Hip Hop Shake Up. These videos are spin offs of Hip Hop Shake up. One of the videos is of Jibin (DinoJib) and Matt (Team Heroes) on the loop machine, beatboxing and making rhythms with their mouths. Which is here:
We also have a video of Jonny (Jonny the Wolf) and Kurtis (KDee) called 'Rap Sensation'. This is a freestyle rap that these two people with learning disabilities have created by themselves, which we feel really challenges misconceptions about people with disabilities. We're still in keeping with the idea that our work is inspiring to the participants themselves, and to hopefully make other individuals have a go, no matter how able society perceives them to be.
We also have fantastic videos of members of our inclusive clubs and courses who didn't take part in Hip Hop Shake Up, but still have much talent! We introduce to you Sam and Simon, a dynamic duo on the drums and vocals. Performing Bob Dylan's Knockin on Heaven's Door, this duo smash it, pouring their hearts and souls into this piece of music.
All of this music is compiled into one playlist, if you're interested (which we think you should be!). The playlist is here, and includes these videos, plus more. The videos are of talent we feel deserves recognition.
Check us out, share is if you want, all we want is for these people to get the regonition they deserve.
