Reaching Out Practitioner Network
A new network for music practitioners held it's first session at Sage Gateshead this week ...
On thursday night a group of music practitioners from across the North East came together for the first time under the banner of the Reaching Out music practitioners Network. The session was organised and hosted by Sage Gateshead's Youth Music funded CoMusica Inclusion project and offered musicians, interested in working with young people in challenging circumstances, a chance to come together with the aim of shaping the network for the future.
A wide range of emerginging practitioners, Hub staff, youth workers, students and project workers attended the event and were welcomed to CoMusica and Sage Gateshead by Head of Youth Participation Steve Jinski. Those in attendance were treated to a selection of ice breaker and warm up actitivities by CoMusica inclusion staff before a consultation process which asked practitioners how they would want a regional network to look, sound and feel.
The information gathered will be used by CoMusica to help shape the future of the Reaching Out Network with more meetings and sessions planned for 2016.
