Music Ally Creative Entrepreneurship Programme - Deadline Extended to Tues 26 May

Youth Music and Music Ally have joined forces to bring you the Music Ally Creative Entrepreneurship Programme - a certified remote learning programme for DIY artists and aspiring industry professionals to develop their understanding of the music business.

Perfect for developing your skills and knowledge while we're all in lockdown!

What is it?

Music Ally's industry leading Learning Hub is a new dedicated e-learning platform for the modern music business.

It consists of more than 30 modules of up-to-date industry standard certified video content and supporting materials.

It's used by companies across the music business to train their staff and covers the foundations and building blocks everyone in the industry needs to know about such as publishing, labels, distribution and building a team around an artist.

It's also super relevant for emerging and DIY artists as it offers guides on how to get the best from streaming and social platforms like Spotify, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.

Who is it for?

Artists are increasingly being told they need to take ownership of their careers to a greater extent than ever before. We've all heard about musicians taking a DIY pathway, and for those with the right determination and motivation it's possible to get far in the industry without a record or publishing deal.

But if you don't have the right knowledge and support around distribution, marketing, copyright and social media promo it can be extremely hard to cut through and start making any money from music.

Existing ways to get these skills (such as music courses and internships) favour those who can afford it and peope based in big cities with networks and contacts.

But for many these pathways aren't an option and if those people can't make themselves heard this damages the health and diversity of the whole industry.

That's why we've launched the Creative Entrepreneurship Programme - aimed at young or emerging musicians and music professionals under 25. We want to help the next generation get the best possible start to their careers, no matter what their background is.

In our ever-changing landscape of music, I understand the importance of access to information. That’s why I’m excited to support Music Ally’s Creative Entrepreneurship Programme. Any artist or entrepreneur that’s considering a career in the music business should consider applying now. I look forward to sharing ideas.” - Troy Carter

As a music entrepreneur myself I know how important it is to understand how the music business works and how to market yourself as an artist if you’re to stand a chance of success. I’ve been a fan of Music Ally myself for years now and we’ve worked with them closely and know how valuable their information is so I would encourage any budding artist or entrepreneur to apply.” - GENIUS
