Music at Chapel FM

At Chapel FM we have been busy working on our new radio show for young people, by young people. Red Kite Radio has connected our young people from their own homes through the internet and onto the radio! Aired every 2 weeks, Red Kite Radio gives our young people opportunity to learn braodcasting skills, try out live hosting and get involved behind the scenes. Our Next Gen Music group have been working on distance music collaborations using digital audio software, interactive theory sessions, interviewing local bands and sharing their music over the radio for our annual 24 hour musicathon.  We hosted a summer music course which was mostly online, covering jazz, music for protest, social movements and music and lots more! We were lucky to have the opportunity to meet up to play together at Roundhay Park Bandstand in Leeds, where the group had chance to play out some musical plans we had been working on over zoom. It was a great summer despite the restrictions! We are hoping to make use of our bandstands this summer. Fingers crossed! here are some links for our Red Kite and musicathon show, hope you enjoy!
