Music Drop-In Sessions at Cre8 Macclesfield

Here at Cre8 Macclesfield using our Youth Music funding, we have been running music drop-in sessions at our community building. These drop in sessions aim to offer young people on the Moss Rose estate in Macclesfield an opportunity to explore music, be that casually or more academically.

Currently we offer free lessons in:

  • Guitar
  • Piano
  • Bass
  • Ukulele
  • Drums
  • Production & Recording
  • Music Theory

Also, Level 1 NOCN Qualifications are available through our sessions in:

  • Live Music Performance
  • Digital Sampling Techniques for Composition
  • Music Theory

As well as all of this, support is offered for students to complement their Music GCSE’s in school, to help our young people to achieve their full potential academically in music. In doing this, they have the option to pursue music further if they wish to do so, which may lead to many exciting opportunities.

So far we've been having a great turn out, and are attempting to reach out to even more young people on the estate who may be interested and benefit from the sessions. We hope that through this drop-in we offer our young people a chance to pursue music in a way they may have been unable to without them. We aim to deliver this in a friendly, supportive environment and in turn, potentially help our young people to follow or develop a passion for music.
