Goodwin Development Trust’s Youth Arts Takeover returns with the brand new MusicLab project!

With Goodwin’s new funding from Youth Music (for which we are incredibly grateful!) comes a new project, set to capitalise on the successes of our previous work. We’re all really excited to get this opportunity to bring the MusicLab project to the Thornton Estate and the wider city of Hull, especially given the current pandemic situation. 

The MusicLab project is designed to provide a year-long series of music sessions. Our participants will have the chance to learn music theory and practice, combining instrument tuition with learning the basics of digital music production, all in a customised project that will include face-to-face and online sessions.

We have a group of staff members with experience in various musical fields, from instrumentation to percussion to digital music production, all of whom are really excited to start teaching some music! As well as these staff members, we also work with sessional workers and film-makers, enhancing the experience for our learners and staff alike!
