Music On Tick - creating a more diverse and representative music making workforce in Bolton.

Music On Tick was a project that aimed to create new music leaders. We worked with people that have experience of mental health issues, including bipolar, depression and psychosis and gave them a range of music skills to pass on to other young people in challenging circumstances. Through this we created 10 new arts award advisors through our programme. The responsibility and added sense of purpose the participants experinced through having to share the skills they leaned had a profound impact on their own personal development as well as helping to create a more diverse and representative music making workforce in Bolton.
