Platform 2

Last year we ran a project which included dancers, producers and an events team. We called it Platform 2 as it was next to the train station and because many young people feel they need to leave Totnes for the highs of London or Bristol, from platform 2.

We want to inspire young people who are here, to make the most of this town, their community, and to support them to create new opportunities with music, the arts and culture. This we hope will build a thriving place where young people feel they belong and can sustain life.

Now we are moving into our new space in town, there is so much opportunity for development. We are opening the doors to new ideas young people have.

Special thanks to Youth Music for supporting young producers during lockdown, The National Lottery Community Fund for supporting the event, dance and video production, Totnes Town Council for supporting our regular meet-ups and continuing to stand for improving resources for young people, to Dartington Makers, for mentoring these young dancers and Sorting Room Studios for mentoring the producers.. some of whom are right now catching their train to London, to take their music to the next level!
