My Tunes

My Tunes 3 is a project working with Pupil Referral Units and vulnerable young adults in Somerset from September 2016 to March 2017.

In September 2016, Take Art and Actiontrack, 2 Somerset based organisations, kicked off their 3rd iteration of My Tunes. 

Since 2012, they have been developing a programme across Somerset working with over 10 Pupil Referral Settings as well as with Targeted Youth Support, a service aimed at supporting vulnerable young adults. In each phase we have run introductory sessions for 125 young people followed by  a customised programme for 80. Over time we have been building a relationship with Sound Foundation Somerset, the Music Education Hub for the county.

These programmes have been well supported by Youth Music and on Friday 24th November 2017 we will be arranging a summit in Somerset, for those interested in sharing effective practice in this area of work. We will invite policymakers and funders, south west music education hubs as well as organisations around the country.
