Project Coordinator - Reach for the Arts FREELANCE OPPORTUNITY

Dorset Council seeks a freelance, dynamic, and highly motivated Coordinator to coordinate this new project over the next 15 months. Reach for the Arts a collaborative project between Dorset Music Service,  Dorset Council’s Holiday and Food Scheme (HAF) and Artz+ Sportz+.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised freelance project coordinator to co-ordinate and deliver key elements of this project which seeks to achieve the following outcomes:

• Support the provision of arts activities for marginalised children and young people to be delivered by 24 artists over 15 months via the established HAF and Artz+ holiday programmes.
• Coordination of a network of community artists to enhance Dorset Council’s ‘Holiday Activity and Food’ and ‘Artz+ Sportz+’ holiday activity programmes and to develop providers offer and support workers ability to work with children and young people facing barriers.
• Pilot a young arts leadership development scheme for young people from targeted cohorts (16-25) through residential training, mentoring, shadowing, and work opportunities and to set in motion a training programme to grow this specialist workforce.
• Initiation of training sessions to upskill Artz+ support workers and members of the wider creative workforce to provide arts activities
