Music to Young Ears Conference Announced for 8 May

Music4U is delighted to announce the upcoming conference, 'Music to Young Ears: Engaging Deaf Children with Music', on Wednesday 8 May at the National Centre for Early Music in York. Book now to get the early bird discount (£30)!

Organised by Music4U, Youth Music’s Musical Inclusion programme for York and the Humber Region, this conference examines how under-5s with hearing loss access, enjoy and benefit from musical engagement. It follows on from a research project exploring musical opportunities for young deaf children in York, East Riding of Yorkshire, Hull, North East Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire.

The conference aimed at people who work in early years settings and with deaf children and those involved in early years music provision. It will also be of interest to parents and carers of deaf children as well as students of music education, community music and music technology.
