The Vocalize Crew On Film

A short film has been produced about the students of the Vocalise Crew who are Peterborough’s 1st young persons Beatbox ensemble.  Supported by Beat This C.I.C they were awarded by the High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire and received some funding to participate in specialist music mentoring workshops.

All of the young people involved initially signed up for a "music workshop" with Beat This through the Housing Association, Cross Keys Homes.  The young people had no previous experience being in a band or performing live and had never beatboxed before. After only 7 weeks rehearsing, the band were already recording and performing live.

Last year the students performed for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012 at Burghley House in Stamford, the annual Peterborough Volunteer Awards at Peterborough Town Hall and at the prestigious Business In The Community Awards at Hengrave Hall.

“The Vocalize Crew are an amazing inspiration to the community of the surrounding area of Peterborough.” – Skilly Skillz, Mentor – Beat This C.I.C.

This is their first music video and acoustic session.

The Vocalize Crew are continuing to grow and develop and are coming together to record and rehease regardless of whether there is funding there or not.
