How do you find new ideas?

For many years I have been running training events and am fascinated at how people find their way to them!

In 10 days thirty people will gather in our main room at the Hothouse and spend 2 days making music, exchanging ideas and considering issues around musicmaking in the community. How did they find their way into that space ? Who was it that hassled them and laid open the opportnity? Why does it feel so hard to get people along even when I know the potential impact on their working practice could be immense. Fascinating. Our particular focus is to gather musicians from BME backgrounds to help develop the workforce in the Northwest so that no longer do we have to struggle to find the workshop leader from South Asian, Chinese or West african backgrounds. This time we are working with Global Link and I think the learning that will come out of talking about stereotyping, sustainable development and other global development themes will be fascinating.  You can still book on by going to the More Music website and downlaoding the form...
