Take part in G Factor 2012

G-FACTOR is a young talent show to be held once again at this year's Galtres Festival, with the winner(s) being offered a main stage slot to perform in front of thousands...

Entries are invited from young people at a school or sixth form college in Yorkshire, aged 9-19 years old.

Each entrant may be a single person or a group of up to 10 people.

Each entrant should prepare two performances, each of two to four minutes' duration. Of these one must be an original composition, devised especially for Galtres Festival, and may not have previously been performed in public. The second performance may be a cover, or may also be an original composition. Performances may be sung, instrumental, or dance, or a combination of these. We would prefer that there are no pre-recorded backing tracks, although will accept these for dance-only performances.

A panel of judges, which will be experienced music and dance industry specialists, will allocate two marks to your performance, each with equal weighting - one for performance, and the other for composition.
