The Mix is seeking to work in partnership with TALENTED individuals and organisations in order to develop our MUSIC offer and deliver a SUSTAINABLE model for running our RECORDING FACILITIES and PERFORMANCE SPACE. All the best partnerships bring something to The Mix….

What we have: A vision to develop pioneering projects and pilot new ways of working to achieve our aim of improving the lives of young people aged 11-19 (up to 25 for those with additional needs) and a state of the art £5.5 million purpose built, world class venue in Stowmarket, Suffolk (opening 2014) offering – • Recording and rehearsing space • Meeting space • Art room • Exhibition space • 200 capacity performance venue • Café • Flexible training / classrooms

What you have: • Practical/creative skills/experience in music and/or managing a performance space i.e. accounting and budget management; sales and marketing; music tech and recording; development and delivery of youth-led projects and training; knowledge of relevant equipment and software; fundraising experience • A flair for business and an entrepreneurial approach • A passion for working with young people • A network of great contacts • Ideas, talent and enthusiasm

What will we achieve together?

For young people: This enterprise needs to inspire young people in the Mid Suffolk area, involve them in creative music activities, develop their skills and help them to access further relevant opportunities. Examples of the type of activities, which could be delivered, (but not exclusively) are: live music production and recording, digital music production, DJing, industry seminars, band development, singing and song-writing.

For The Mix Stowmarket Ltd: The partnership approach needs to develop revenue streams in order that young people’s activities are supported. A long-term aim of The Mix is to support creative and social enterprise in young people; therefore partnerships that support the training of young people in this area will be looked upon favourably.

For you: An exciting business opportunity on a profit share basis £5,000.00 start-up grant and up to £15,000.00 equipment budget An opportunity to be involved in shaping this project from its inception

Are we the perfect Mix? We are inviting all interested parties to an informal networking and briefing session on the 21st May at 6.30pm The John Peel Centre, Stowmarket, Suffolk. This will be an opportunity to find out more about The Mix, meet relevant partners and develop working models for our facilities.
