Seeking Participants for a Study about Financial Stress and Mental Health in Young Adults

Financial Stress and Mental Health in Young Adults

There has been an increase in the level of reported mental health difficulties amongst young people in recent years and it is not yet known what has driven this increase. One factor that may be related to the mental health of young people is financial stress. This is particularly important in the context of the reported cost of living crisis that is currently ongoing. The aim of the study is to establish whether a relationship exists between financial stress and mental health in young people.

We are seeking participants aged between 18-25 for an online questionnaire. The questionnaire will take approximately 20 minutes.  The study has received ethical approval from Newcastle University's ethics committee. Participants can enter a prize draw to gain a chance to win one of several £20 Amazon voucher.
